City Parks Alliance is the only independent, national membership organization working across the USA solely dedicated to urban parks. It unites and serves a growing network of hundreds of civic and community leaders, government agencies, parks and recreation authorities, funders and others.
The conference will attract more than 1,000 urban park leaders, city planning and design professionals, public officials, advocates, funders, and innovators — from 200 cities and 20 countries.
Conference topics include the latest in global park innovation, new methods to engage city-dwellers and urban communities around the value and importance of urban parks –how they are addressing critical environmental and societal issues such as climate change and community health ¬– and essential lessons on sustainable park creation and management. Participants will experience the innovative practices and programs in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro region through more than 40 park tours and outdoor workshops.
